Nest We Grow is an environmental project focused on sustainable growth of crops by designing a building that supports the full process of a food product’s life cycle. While the building is not related to the performing arts, it has key design principles that are valuable in application to the beacon through its permeable characteristics and fundamental function.

Through the concept of observational learning; the building’s physical design enables users to be led through the a process through a circulatory route upwards; in the case of Nest We Grow, this process is agricultural, but in the case of the Beacon, this exposes in musical performance and education happening internally, allowing access to anyone from the outside of the building.
